Ed Züblin AG, Singapore Branch (Züblin) was awarded the proposed pipe culvert & shafts at Banyan Avenue, Jurong Island. The Project commenced in May 2012 and the overall works are scheduled for completion in November 2012.

The contract scope involved the construction tunnel ID3200 using pipe-jacking method over a length of 90m across Banyan Avenue including construction of temporary as well as permanent structures such as jacking shaft, receiving, access manholes and miscellaneous works.

This is the largest diameter tunnel to be constructed by pipe jacking method in Asia-Pacific region.
